Building stronger communities with care and purpose

P.U.R.P.O.S.E. Incorporated is a Westwego, Louisiana nonprofit serving children, families, senior citizens, and individuals in need. For more than 26 years, we have given back, created opportunities, and reminded our neighbors that someone cares.

Programs that uplift our community

Our year-round initiatives support local people at every stage of life through meaningful experiences, practical resources, education, and connection.

Youth support and mentoring

We encourage at-risk and underprivileged youth through mentoring, school involvement, community activities, and positive guidance. Our support includes children from single-parent households and children affected by bullying or domestic violence.

Education and achievement

We help young people see what is possible through academic recognition, educational trips, and programs that celebrate learning, good choices, and positive behavior.

Annual Toy & Bike Drive

During the Christmas season, our Annual Toy & Bike Drive brings joy to hundreds of children and families with toys, bicycles, food, drinks, free haircuts, games, face painting, and family activities.

Community care and partnerships

We work with caring volunteers and community partners to extend support to families, senior citizens, and neighbors in need. Together, we create lasting opportunities and a more connected Westwego community.
